Education Initiatives
Kilifi County for Higher Education Program (KCHEP)
A comprehensive mentorship program to youths and students, empowering them towards career paths. KCHEP targets school drop outs, post-secondary and post-primary level youths. We empower them to join institution of higher learning by providing accessibility of information on learning opportunities i.e. course linkage, scholarships and bursaries applications. Impact: 3,500 youths reached, 70 Scholarships to vocational training, 3 colleges scholarship.
Community and School Libraries installation
At Washindi Africa, we play a vital role in enhancing educational resources by installing school libraries in Kilifi County. Our initiative aims to foster a love for reading and learning among students, providing them with access to a diverse range of books and educational materials. By creating inviting and well-equipped library spaces, we empower students to explore new ideas, improve literacy skills, and support their academic growth. Our commitment extends beyond installation; we also offer training for teachers and librarians to effectively manage these resources, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to thrive in a supportive learning environment.
Education for Impact (EFI)
EPI applies multidisciplinary approach to work with schools, parents and students in primary and secondary schools to ensure there is friendly learning environment for optimal academic performance, leadership development and partnership among stakeholders.
